Staying in a Tiny House – a unique experience in a wonderful setting!
If you’re looking for a special place to stay in the Balsthal / Solothurn / Thal Nature Park area, you’ll be in excellent hands in our two Tiny Houses.
The Tiny Houses, house Roggen and house Holzfluh, are simply yet practically and warmly furnished and are situated close to the centre in a very quiet location on our private property.
With a practical kitchen, cosy living area, separate bathroom with shower and two single beds on the mezzanine, you’ll find everything you need here. As much as necessary – as little as possible – just a Tiny House!
In summer, the south-facing veranda invites you to linger and enjoy the surroundings.
The village centre of Balsthal is just a 5–10-minute walk away, offering a variety of dining options and shopping facilities.
The Thal Nature Park offers a unique setting with a variety of hiking trails of varying difficulty, bike tours, cycle paths, culinary delights and cultural diversity.

Bicycle shelter with facilities for charging batteries

Simple breakfast available on request for bookings of up to 3 days.

Breakfast options: Toast/to-go rolls, butter, jam, cheese, ham, milk, orange juice, cereal, plain yogurt.

If you would like other options (vegetarian/vegan/food intolerances), please let us know; we’ll be happy to provide suitable items.
Our house rules

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted.

We have cats living in our home, and there are a few others in the neighbourhood. Please do not feed the cats or let them into the cottage under any circumstances. Please also do not leave any food outside. There are martens and, from time to time, a fox in the neighbourhood.

The tiny houses are non-smoking; no open flammable candles or similar items are permitted.

If you require cleaning equipment, you will find it you'll find them in the built-in closet under the stairs. There is also a vacuum cleaner and a wet mop there.

Dirty hiking boots can be cleaned in the in the wash trough by the bike shed using the brush provided. Please leave the trough and the cleaning equipment used clean, thank you.

To charge your bike battery, you will find an extra socket by the shelter behind the houses. For fire safety reasons, please DO NOT charge the batteries inside the house, thank you.

The area north of both tiny houses is private; we ask you to respect this.
